Thank you for your interest in volunteering!
Our agency is a small non-profit in downtown Oviedo, FL that provides relief for disadvantaged young adults and families who need assistance with basic human needs. We have a Resource Center where we provide case management services for our clients and help with a variety of services based on their needs and case plan. We operate with four paid administrative staff, one intern, and the generosity of the donated time of our volunteers.
The different types of volunteer work we have; depend on what you may be interested in, and how much time you have available. We need help with outreach to promote the agency, food drives, donations, and volunteers with our events/fundraising.
Anyone above the age of 16 can volunteer at our organization. If you are a minor under the age of 16 you can volunteer as well! We just ask that your parent/guardian is present during the hours that you are here.
We ask all volunteers regardless of age and type of volunteer work to abide by our uniform dress code. We are a faith-based agency and pride ourselves in everyone wearing appropriate dress while representing our agency. Closed toe shoes must be worn at all times. We recommend wearing sneakers. Shorts and Skirts must be worn 3 inches past your fingertips. No low cut shirts that reveal your midriff. No clothing with inappropriate sayings, slang, or cursing.
We also provide opportunities for the Bright Futures Scholarship Program for Seminole and Orange County Public Schools as well as Adult and Youth Court Ordered Community Service.
Please call us at (407) 971-8135 or stop by our agency if you would like to volunteer. You can also see more about our agency looking through our website at www.theforgottenonesinc.org
