LSOM Volunteers with our UCF Student Intern Eve-Lyndssa Mercure.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Our agency is a small non-profit in downtown Oviedo, FL that provides relief for disadvantaged young adults and families who need assistance with basic human needs.  We have a Resource Center where we provide case management services for our clients and help with a variety of services based on their needs and case plan.  We operate with four paid administrative staff, one intern, and the generosity of the donated time of our volunteers.

The different types of volunteer work we have; depend on what you may be interested in, and how much time you have available.  We need help with outreach to promote the agency, food drives, donations, and volunteers with our events/fundraising.

Anyone above the age of 16 can volunteer at our organization. If you are a minor under the age of 16 you can volunteer as well! We just ask that your parent/guardian is present during the hours that you are here.

We ask all volunteers regardless of age and type of volunteer work to abide by our uniform dress code. We are a faith-based agency and pride ourselves in everyone wearing appropriate dress while representing our agency. Closed toe shoes must be worn at all times. We recommend wearing sneakers. Shorts and Skirts must be worn 3 inches past your fingertips. No low cut shirts that reveal your midriff.  No clothing with inappropriate sayings, slang, or cursing.

We also provide opportunities for the Bright Futures Scholarship Program for Seminole and Orange County Public Schools as well as Adult and Youth Court Ordered Community Service.

Please call us at (407) 971-8135 or stop by our agency if you would like to volunteer. You can also see more about our agency looking through our website at www.theforgottenonesinc.org

  1. I would love to help in any way possible with any skills of mine that may help I am a self-taught barber and his barber equipment, I also have a lot of other things to bring to the table and would love to speak to someone to further advance the goals of this organization

  2. Hello my name is Austin Caslow. I am looking to volunteer! My employer is actually a Foster Parent of three CBC Foster Children. I had a DUI and am required to complete 25 community service hours. I hope this would not stand in my way of volunteering with your organization. I have learned a great deal from my experience and can even share my learning experience with others. I am able to work nights or events, maybe some weekends…. I would need to schedule in advance with my employer. My “boss” who is the Foster Mom is so excited about this she is asking me about our company volunteering as well. We are Integra 360, a brand new Apartment Community in Winter Springs a mile West of 417 on 434. We would love to partner with you in some events. Please contact me when you have a free moment. I would be able to start volunteering in October as I no longer drive. I will be moving on site when our first building is ready. My phone number is 407-739-0385 and you may check our community out at http://www.integra360apartments.com. Thank you for your time.
